In Tacoma, garden centers are busiest on spring weekends, when new stock arrives and popular plants sell out; weekday mornings are calmer and staff have more time to answer questions. Ask which plants are hardy for your USDA zone in Washington, whether trees and shrubs carry a replacement guarantee (one year is common), and whether the nursery delivers and plants large items. Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Many nurseries close or shorten hours in winter, so check the listing for current hours and Google rating before you go.

Tacoma is in Washington, in the Pacific Northwest, where winters are mild and wet, summers are dry and pleasant, and outdoor recreation drives a lot of local business; hours change little through the year. Wonderful small business and nursery! The owner Joe was super nice and helped us find some really healthy grape vine plants. He does all the planting himself and was very informative! Highly recommend

Delightful hidden gem! Very competitive prices and lovely selection. Picked up a couple of Tea Trees (camellia sinensis), which are out of stock most other places we looked first. This is tucked away in a neighborhood, but well worth checking out. They had lots of beautiful edible plants that I particularly noticed- table grape vines and raspberries and blueberries, along with apple and pear trees- and I expect we will be back to buy more soon. The gentleman running it said he hasn't been in business for very long yet, I can imagine that with the great prices he had that his stock will be sold out fast!
